Integrated Massage Therapy

Each session is designed to meet your current needs, whether that’s pain relief, a safe and quiet space to simply be in your body, or nervous system support. We will always check in about what's showing up for you in the moment. Sessions blend techniques from relaxation massage, myofascial work, and trigger point therapy. Sessions are grounding, nourishing, and relaxing, suited for those who are looking to create a container to help manage stress, relieve pain, and support well-being.

CranioSacral Therapy

Receiving CranioSacral Therapy creates space for stillness that can be hard to find in our fast-paced culture. CST clients often report entering states of deep relaxation; feelings of refreshment, fluidity, and increased mobility; and new insight into patterns of tension held in the body. Both relaxation and body awareness can play important roles in supporting diverse conditions including chronic stress, fatigue, headaches, pain that doesn’t respond to traditional massage therapy, and more.

Kind Words

Hi, I’m Kristie…

A massage therapist with curly brown hair and glasses, sitting on a white outdoor sofa on a porch with potted plants, a colorful pillow, and a view of a garden with trees and a birdbath.

I'm a licensed massage therapist, Reiki practitioner, and CranioSacral therapist. I enjoy working with diverse populations, and I have particular interests in holding space for people in times of stress, growth, and transition.

People seek massage, bodywork, and energetic support for many reasons. Maybe you need a quiet space to relax, maybe you're looking for holistic approaches to chronic pain, or maybe you've been feeling especially drained. In every circumstance, I approach our sessions with the intention of being with what is. Sometimes acceptance is exactly the medicine we need in order to begin to feel better.

FAQs

  • Whether you’ve scheduled a CST session or a massage, we will begin by checking in about your history with bodywork and about your goals for the session and how you’re feeling.

We’ll discuss if you have areas of the body where you don’t like to be touched or where you’re more sensitive.

For a CST session I ask that you dress comfortably, as sessions are clothed. For a massage session, most clients fully undress or leave just their underwear on. I leave this up to you, as you will always be draped in areas where I’m not working.

After your session, you can take all the time you need getting up. When you’re ready, I’ll meet you in the waiting room with some water, and we’ll check in about your experience.

When possible, I encourage you to set aside time after a session to be restful and quiet.

  • I recommend arriving five or ten minutes before your appointment start time. If it’s your first time in, maybe even a bit earlier! Our suite has a waiting room where you can sit and relax until I take you back.

  • Please cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours before the appointment start time. This protects my time and income. Except in cases of emergency, no-shows and late cancellations will receive an invoice for the full session fee, which must be paid before scheduling another appointment.

  • We’re located in a multiuse space in historic Old North Knoxville. There’s free street parking in front of the building, and there’s also a free lot for guests behind the building, which you can access via the alley.

To enter the building, you will need to enter a PIN code. This code will be given to you in your confirmation email when you book the appointment, so be sure to keep that handy!
